The DIA Board of Directors is elected by the DIA membership and has responsibility for setting DIA’s strategic direction, providing fiscal oversight, enhancing DIA’s public standing, and strengthening DIA’s programs and services.
As part of their service, DIA Board members meet 3 times per year for 2-day face-to-face meetings: one at the EuroMeeting in March, one at the Annual Meeting (North America) in June, and one in November at a location that is determined annually. Board members also serve on committees that meet via conference call and during the face-to-face Board meetings. The time commitment is approximately one day per month when meeting prep, participation, and follow-up is taken into consideration.
The “Call for Nominations” is open to all DIA members from mid-August to September 30 of each year. The final slate is approved by the Board in November and put forth to the membership for their vote per the DIA Bylaws.
