Dr. Gesine Bejeuhr, PhD, currently serves as Senior Manager at vfa, the German Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies association, where she coordinates several expert groups (with a focus on Regulatory Affairs, Production, Quality and Environment), develops industry positions and represents the association at the European level. She was previously for four years in charge of Regulatory & Safety Intelligence for Grunenthal. She started her career as State inspector (for pharmacies, hospitals, Good Manufacturing Practice) at national and international level. She is the Vice Chair of the Community Leadership Council (CLC) and the Chair of the Pediatric Community. Before being elected to the Board of Directors in 2012, she served for four years as member of the DIA Advisory Council Europe (ACE). Gesine has served as a DIA Annual Meeting and EuroMeeting session chair and is the co-leader of the “Development of Medicines for Pediatric and Elderly Populations” EuroMeeting Theme in 2012 and 2013. She has also served for several years on the Program Committee for the annual DIA/EFGCP/EMA Pediatric Forum. Gesine has also been involved as one of the initiators and program committee members in a series of complimentary ACE workshops in Central and Eastern Europe. She is a graduate of the Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel, School of Pharmacy and obtained her Ph.D. at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University, Bonn, Germany.
