Biography:
Alejandro H. Bermudez-Del Villar, MA/IBDD, serves as DIA’s first Latin America & Global Product Development Coordinator. Alejandro works from DIA’s office in Washington, DC, to support the Provisional Advisory Council of Latin America (pACLA) and implement the DIA in Latin America business plan.
A native of Mexico, Alejandro earned his Master’s degree in Communication, Culture & Technology, and Honors Certificate in International Business Diplomacy, from Georgetown University. He also earned a diploma in International Public Law from the Graduate Studies Division of the Instituto Technológico Autónomo de México; a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City; and completed the Program on the Economic Integration of the European Union from the School of Economics, University of Antwerp, Belgium.
Prior to DIA, Alejandro served as Director of Operational Development & Technology for the National Council of Urban Indian Health, where he oversaw strategic planning, public health program management, health information technology operations, and project monitoring and evaluation. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Party at INTERNEWS/USAID in the Digital Opportunity Through Technology & Communication Partnerships program, where he designed, managed, and supervised new technology-related projects in Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe.
Alejandro reports to DIA Deputy Executive Director Carlos Fulcher.
