Biography:

Dr. Gustavo Kesselring has been intimately involved in clinical research in Brazil and internationally for the past two decades. Currently, Dr. Kesselring is Executive Director of ViS Research Institute , a research institute for the study of globalization of biomedical research and clinical trials with offices in New York-US , São Paulo - Brazil and Mumbai - India. Dr. Kesselring is also Past President of Brazilian Society of Pharmaceutical Medicine (SBMF) and a member of the Executive Committee of the International Federation of Associations of Pharmaceutical Physicians (IFAPP). Dr. Kesselring was Director, Clinical Operations of Clinical Research at the Science Institute at German Hospital Oswaldo Cruz, São Paulo, Brazil where he has developed the National Clinical Research Training Program for the Ministry of Health in Brazil and served as its director during 2009/2010 .He has been Chairperson and speaker at the Drug Information Association Annual Meeting and currently member of its Latin American Steering Committee and a member of the Brazilian Medical Association ( AMB ) at World Medical Association (WMA) for the issues related to the Declaration of Helsinki In March 2011 he has been granted by the American Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators (APPI ) with the 2011 Honorary Lifetime Membership Award due to his contribution to clinical research and Pharmaceutical Medicine .
