Hiroshi Watanabe, MD, is Professor of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Director of Clinical Research Center at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine. Dr. Watanabe is a council member of Japanese Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology and many national committees with purposes closely aligned with the aim of improving health and healthcare by encouraging clinical trials in Japan. He also sits on the Editorial Boards for Cardiovascular Research, and several journals. His research interests focus on endothelial cell signaling, pulmonary hypertension, atherosclerosis and heart failure.
