Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I am delighted to invite you to participate in the DIA 6th Annual Clinical Forum, which will be held from 8-10 October 2012 in The Hague, The Netherlands.
The Hague is the international city of peace and justice and contributes substantially to international politics. It is one of the major cities of the United Nations, hosting the International Court of Justice.
The Clinical Forum is an important multi-disciplinary conference for those of us who are engaged in the clinical development and use of medicines. The Hague is an ideal venue for international collaboration and encouraging the exchange of ideas and best practices amongst individuals from a wide variety of countries and organisations.
Our theme for 2012 is “the empowered patient”. The evolution of technology and electronic communication has given patients the ability to find health information which may impact on their treatment choices. Patients are able to communicate and connect with each other easily – empowering them to become more engaged in their care and to participate in decisions. The Programme Committee is working on developing an engaging and thought-provoking agenda that focuses on patients and their healthcare needs.
We look forward to seeing you in The Hague!
