Abstract Summary

The aim of this research was to optimize formulation pH for development of a 7 day microneedle (MN) enhanced transdermal drug patch system. Impedance spectroscopy was used to look at the effect of formulation pH on pore closure kinetics in pigs. Measurements were obtained at regular intervals following one time application of MN. All sites were occluded with 0.1 M citrate buffer gels at respective pH values between measurements.
