Title

Best Practices for Optimizing Global Biospecimen Collections for Prospective and Retrospective Clinical Research

Abstract Summary

Sample management begins even before the sample exists, and continues past sample destruction. It is imperative to have a detailed understanding of sample chain of custody and storage, as well as the necessary associated data for ensuring sample utility in the future. Sample processing is a further critical component, as derivative tracking and generation are also variables that cannot be overlooked in the sample lifecycle. Therefore, the poster will outline processes for reducing variables throughout the complete sample lifecycle and also highlights technological advances that streamline management of clinical data.
