Overview

A UL EduNeering course

Investigational drugs and biologics are tested and characterized during and after administration to humans in clinical trials. Human subjects that volunteer for trials must be treated appropriately. Human safety should be the primary consideration of everyone involved in trial design and conduct. Ethics are at the foundation of clinical trial decision-making. The ethical rules that protect the rights of human subjects should guide the entire industry. This course describes how ethical guidelines protect human subjects and how to design ethically sound trials. Emerging trends and future considerations will also be discussed.
