Overview 

We are in the 8th year of the annual European Medical Information and Communications Conference. This is a unique meeting organised by medical information professionals for medical information professionals. Each year, speakers share hands-on experience on dealing with current challenges as well as successes in medical information departments. Participants are encouraged to take part in workshops and discussions within the sessions. This is also a great opportunity to network with your colleagues.

The Call for Abstracts for this conference is open.

Deadline for submissions: Monday, 28 April 2014. To submit a new abstract, click here. You are encouraged to submit an abstract on the following topics:

  • Products in Transition – Adapting medical information services during co-promotion, divestments and other commercialisation models
  • Country Perspective on Global Medical Information – How has the “one voice” approach to the customer translated into benefits in countries and regions?
  • Best Practice for In- And Out-Sourcing Models of Medical Information and Managing Change
  • Update on Legislative Approach to Information for Patients in the European Union (EU)
  • “Hot Topics” Panel Discussion to Give Coverage to Current Topics
  • Putting Theory into Practice – Case studies of successes and heroic failures in medical information
  • Future of Medical Information Delivery – What is the future of the response document? Is there a universal format for multiple (traditional and digital) channels? What are the compliance and quality considerations?
  • Insights Gathering in Medical Information: How is medical information using real-time data to identify (product) issues?
  • Applying the New Pharmacovigilance Legislation for Medical Information Departments –  Practical case studies

Up until now, the DIA European Medical Information and Communications Conference has taken place as part of the Annual DIA Clinical Forum. After several years of continued success with growing attendance and excellent feedback, DIA is organising this event as a standalone meeting in 2014.
