Biography:

After graduation in Science, from Goa, Nandkumar joined University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT now ICT) Mumbai as a National Scholar and completed Bachelor and Master Degree in Chemical Technology, and continued for Doctorate (Ph D) in Chemical Technology. In Jan. 1979 he Joined Sekhsaria Chemicals Limited as R&D Manager as the first employee and continued to grow with the company as a CEO & MD. He was responsible for developing the entire network of business in Pharmaceuticals, which included developing and manufacturing of Drug Products, APIs and Contract Research. Sekhsaria were involved in developing, manufacturing and in export of the Pharmaceuticals mainly to the US, Canada, Japan, Australia, EU and other developed countries. During this tenure Nandkumar built and established the Organization from grass root, developed and trained Pharmacists, Synthetic and Analytical Chemists, Technologists, designed and established manufacturing plants, which were inspected and approved by US FDA, EDQM, MHRA, IMB and other Health Authorities. In 2006 Sekhsaria Chemicals Ltd. was acquired by Watson Pharmaceuticals USA and Nandkumar was appointed as President of the API division, which included responsibility for the Watson API plants in India, China and Taiwan. He was appointed as a Chair Person for New Product Selection Global Committee. Nandkumar resigned from Watson in June 2007 and then Joined Shasun Pharmaceuticals as a Chief Mentor and Executive Director in January 2008. He continues to be a Partner in EXMORE, which supports custom research, manufacturing, exports and consultation. Nandkumar joined DIA as a volunteer in 1995 and he and his wife Laxmi Chodankar (Ph D) worked together and organized first DIA conference in India at Mumbai, which was a great success.
