Biography:
Regional Director Global Clinical Trial Operations Latin America in Merck since 2009. Trained as a board-certified general (1984) and thoracic surgeon (1986) after receiving a medical degree from the School of Medicine, University of Buenos Aires in 1978. Prior to joining Schering-Plough in 1989 as a Medical Research Associate, I was a surgeon at hospitals in Buenos Aires and an instructor in the Surgical Didactic Unit of the University of Buenos Aires, School of Medicine. From 1989 I held positions with increasing levels of responsibility for Schering-Plough. Director Global Clinical Operations Latin America (1995) and Sr. Director Global Clinical Operations Latin America, Asia Pacific and South Africa (1999-2007).
