Biography:
Tal Burt, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist and clinical researcher. He is the Scientific Director of Duke’s Global Proof-of-Concept (POC) Clinical Research Network. Over the past 15 years Tal has been involved in all phases of clinical research of drugs and devices in industry and academic settings. He is the founding director of the SingHealth Investigational Medicine Unit (IMU – in Singapore) and Medanta Duke Research Institute (MDRI – in Delhi, India) – both part of Duke’s Global Proof-of-Concept (POC) Research Network.
Tal’s interests include pharmacological and device treatments of mood disorders, outcome measurements, and general methodological and operational aspects of clinical research including Microdosing and Chronotherapeutics. He is the originator of the CREATE program – Continuous Research Education and Training Exercises, aimed at clinical research professionals, and PARTAKE – Public Awareness of Research for Treatment Advancement through Knowledge Enhancement – a program aimed at promoting public knowledge, partnership, and participation in clinical research.
