His own children, Patrick and Megan, suffer from Pompe Disease, a rare and nearly always fatal neuromuscular disorder.
As John retells the emotional story of how he and his family navigated the challenging clinical trial process, you may begin to recognize clinical research volunteers in a new light, as the real Medical Heroes in the advancement of medical science.
