Overview 

This course covers the basic statistical concepts fundamental to clinical research, including how to apply statistical concepts to clinical investigations.

  • Distinguish various study designs and identify techniques to avoid bias in current and new studies
  • Summarize why and how to work in concert with statisticians to design and interpret results from clinical trials
  • Demonstrate how to establish clinical non-inferiority and equivalence
  • Effectively speak to co-workers and management using statistical terms
  • Identify the statistician’s role in clinical research
